“Hear Me Roar” is a free resource available to any person, family, or organization to print and use. This children’s activity book will help start a conversation about consent. The story, activities, and discussion questions will help your family learn about permission, trusted adults, and personal safety.

“Hear Me Roar” includes:

- A story appropriate for children ages 4 and up

- Discussion questions and answer guide to help the adult reader navigate the conversation

- 18 coloring pages

- 5 activity pages to reinforce the messages of the story

- Recommended books that will help continue the conversation

This book is a capstone project completed by Francis Everwoods for California State University Monterey Bay’s Collaborative Health and Human Services program. The illustrations are provided by Demi Seva'aetasi. The book was created with the guidance and support of the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center. A limited number of physical copies made possible by MBS Systems and CAPC Monterey County are also available. Please contact us if you would like to request printed copies.
