We are looking for a few dynamic individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. Interested applicants must share the agency philosophy of survivor empowerment, be willing to serve on one standing committee and attend board meetings the third Monday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Monterey.
Board members are expected to support the agency financially in an amount that is meaningful to them in response to annual solicitations. Board members must attend at least one to three sessions of the 12-session crisis line training (held two to three times each year), attend advocate graduations, board retreats, and special events.
The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center is especially interested in recruiting individuals who want to get involved in fundraising activities and to lend their energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to making MCRCC's mission successful. We are looking for diversity in ethnicity, gender, income level, age, occupations, and professions.
